The global crisis affected all business sectors as well as the tourism industry.
Significant contribution to global tourism have tourists from countries of Middle East and other arabic countries. But also for them has the crisis played fundamental role and lowered their profit.
To compare, last year (2008) the percentage of tourists arriving to the Middle East (counted for the first seven months of year) was 13% higher than this year (2009). And last year only 42% of Arabs visisted another arabic country, while 58% went outside from the arabic region.
From statistics of World Tourism Organisation results that the tourism industry is recovering step by step and it is predicted that the crisis in tourism could be, hopefully, overcame by 2010.
